MERCURY RETRO IN PISCES & VIRGO FULL MOON

 MERCURY RETROGRADE IN PISCES
FEB 23 - MARCH 17, 2013

You may have been feeling it...some people are so sensitive that they "get it" before it happens.  Mercury will turn retrograde on Saturday, February 23rd and will turn direct on March 17, 2013.  Mercury, planet of communications in Pisces, the spiritual sign that says "I Believe" may cause confusion and misunderstandings all by itself, and then when it turns retrograde in Pisces there's a need to really be clear when communicating with others.  Already the week leading up to the retrograde we've heard stories about Chinese hackers targeting American computers and creating cyber havoc on social networks and the networks of American companies.  Of course the Chinese government has denied any hacking...and the beat goes on.

SLOW IT DOWN
For the next 22 days, while Mercury is retrograde it's a good idea to slow down and take each day as it comes.  I've talked to many people who all of a sudden got thrown into the job as being caregiver for a family member and/or friend and their schedules have moved from busy to super busy.  I've talked to family members and/or friends who've said "I didn't sign up for this", or "this seemed to come out of the blue".  My advice is to tell all caregivers to only do what they can do because "you can't give from an empty cup".  My other advice is to "do everything in a spirit of love". People don't get sick on purpose so it's suddenly happening to them, while it's happening to the people who care about them.  For all of us, the way to flow through this retrograde period is by giving up the need to control the circumstances in our lives.

PRAY, MEDITATE AND LET GO
Regardless of what's happening in your life, whether it's a sudden promotion to chief caregiver, or if it's just dealing with glitches in your computer, you can flow when you let go of the need to control outer circumstances.  Retrograde Mercury in Pisces should inspire us to get back to our spiritual practices which include sincere prayer and meditation.  The direction to go is inside, dealing with our internal energies and our reaction to the external energies.  We can also use positive affirmations during this next 22 day cycle and monitor our self talk and the things we say about what's happening in our life.  A simple affirmation like "all my needs are met" is a powerful group of words that will help us to recenter and know that everything is going to turn out all right.  We're learning to be patient with ourselves and others and this will keep us calm and even lower our blood pressure.  " I live in love, joy and peace" is another affirmation that focuses on what we want as opposed to what we don't want.  If we have to go back over something, if we have to look for something, if something breaks or needs to be repaired, it's our attitude that will help us deal with it.  So try not to stress out when stuff happens, but go into your spiritual practice to make a conscious connection to the God within.

FULL MOON IN VIRGO - TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH

Virgo is the sign that deals with health, work and service.  It's also the natural ruler of the 6th House of health, work and service in the astrology chart.  Over the weekend and especially on Monday, February 25th, be sure to eat nutritious foods, work out the body, swim, walk or do yoga or pilates, but be sure to treat your body like the beautiful gift that it is.  With work, give thanks for your job and co-workers, even if you're working in a job that you don't like.  Working or not working, see yourself as being in service to others.  One good affirmation for people who are working on jobs they don't love is to say (on your way to job) "I have a wonderful job, with wonderful pay and my co-workers treat me in a wonderful way".  Say it, even if it's not true.  If you're looking for a job say" there's a wonderful job, with wonderful pay, that has co-workers who treat me in a wonderful way".  Full Moon in Virgo, one of the service signs, should inspire us to do little random acts of service for others.  That might just mean picking up the phone and calling your aunt Susie and asking her how she's doing.  Or giving a smile to a stressed out mother in the supermarket, or asking the cashier in the store "how are you today?"  The flip side of Virgo is the cynic or judgmental energy that points out what's wrong as opposed to focusing on what's right.  When we're judging others we're building stress in our physical bodies.  Many doctors now agree that stress creates illness.  Stress is our reaction to the things we don't want.  Adopting an attitude of gratitude can decrease the stress.  Giving thanks for what we have in our lives, even if it's not everything we want, can magically draw to us our blessings.  Full Moon in Virgo...work on yourself. Be healthy, be loving and live in joy.
