NEW MOON IN TAURUS - SAT. APRIL 21, 2012

The Sun and Moon will come together in Taurus and form the New Moon in Taurus on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  Taurus is an earth sign and ruler of the 2nd House of Money in the astrological chart.  The symbol for Taurus is the Bull, ruled by Venus, planet of love, beauty and creativity.  The Keywords for Taurus are "I Have".  The spiritual mission is to "Seek Ye First The Kingdom and All Else Will Come Unto You".  In other words the Taurus people who are spiritual put God, (or whatever you may call the Divine Force that creates everything), first and material things second.  Even if you're not born with the Sun in Taurus, we all have Taurus somewhere in our charts. 

HOW TO USE THE TAURUS ENERGY BENEFICIALLY

Since it is the New Moon and a time of new beginnings, you can use the Taurus energy to attract your needs and desires.  Almost everyone I know (except for a few) are thinking about money, what they owe and how to become more comfortable with the idea of having more.  One thing I've learned about the people who always seem to have what they need, and more, is that they've learned the spiritual laws with regard to money.  Some are totally conscious of it, while others just seem to opt into it without thinking.  So here is what I've learned from people who don't think of money as a problem: 

1. Tithing is a habit that people who have a good relationship with their money participate in. Some Tithers send out ten per cent of their income before they pay bills or buy what they need. 

2. Speaking of bills, people who seem to attract money easily are the ones who pay their bills consistently and with a good attitude.  One woman I know, blesses her bills before she puts them in the mailbox.

3. No matter what your situation is around money,  if you're going to attract more money it's important not to think or say anything bad about money.  Instead, if the temptation comes up to say the usual, "I'm broke" or "there never seems to be enough", stop the negative thinking, and substitute those words with one of the following... "God is my supply", or "I always have what I need", or "I give freely and fearlessly into life, and life gives back to me with fabulous increase". Think and say what you want, not what you don't want.

4. Monitor your finances and spending habits and whenever possible put some money away.  That could be just putting change in a jar at night, or setting up a savings account with a bank. 

5. Sit quietly with eyes closed and visualize the amount of money you need right now.  It's important, when doing this to imagine the amount that you can easily see in your bank account. That means starting with a small amount and once you've demonstrated it, then move it up to a bigger amount. Imagining yourself with a billion dollars when you might not even know how many zeros are in a billion is not a good idea. 

                                                              

                                                      DON'T FORGET ABOUT JUPITER

Finally, the New Moon in Taurus is a good time to get out in nature and enjoy the gifts of flowers, blooming trees and the abundance that is everywhere present in our world.  There is no lack or limitation in nature and in reality there's no lack or limitation in your life.  On Sunday, the 22nd the Moon will connect to Jupiter, planet of expansion, so for this two day period (21, 22) be joyful and expectant of all good coming to you. While you're at it, be a blessing to someone else.  Celebrate the New Moon in Taurus with abundant joy, love, gratitude and bliss.  When you're in that state of mind you open up to the opportunities that are all around you.  Enjoy!



Mars Goes Direct Today at 11:53 PM (EDT)

Mars, the action planet has been retrograde in Virgo since January 23, 2012, and tonight, right before midnight it turns direct (11:53pm edt).  But before you do your whoopi dance, please keep in mind that Mars will be traveling back over the same degrees. Even though it's going forward it might seem that we're still dealing with the same issues.  For example, finallly George Zimmerman has been arrested and charged with the murder of Trayvon Martin.  But it's not over yet.  Stayed tuned because there's more to come.  I can't help thinking that it took millions marching in this country and other countries, many petitions and many rallies to keep the pressure on officials to do the right thing.  Don't be fooled, the lawmakers and politicians didn't make a move until they realized how many people were emotionally affected by the news of the murder of an unarmed teenager by a wannabee cop.  As the attorneys who represent Trayvon's family have stated "we're on 1st base and there's much more to come".  We can't leave out the fact that Mercury, planet of communications went direct on April 4th and it also will be traveling over the same degrees as it moves back into Aries on April 17th.  A Luta Continua (the struggle continues)

You might be feeling it on a personal level, something you thought was fixed, is revisited again.  The message is to be patient, stay vigilant and focused on getting it right this time.  The physical reactions to Mars in Virgo going retrograde is that increased anger and impatience could affect our health.  Many have told me they're dealing with digestive problems, are experiencing weird dreams, and basically they feel that no matter what they do, there are still more things to do.  Paperwork needs to be organized and disagreements that seemed to take folks off balance are still surfacing.  The usual question is "when will this be over?" 

Mars will be in Virgo until July 3, 2012.  Then it will move into Libra, the sign of peace, love, harmony and justice (on the positive side) or "no justice no peace" (on the negative side).  But the good news is that Mars will go back into its normal rotation and will be in Libra for the usual six weeks.  Also in July we'll have another retrograde Mercury (in Leo) and next month (May) Venus, will go retrograde from May 15 until June 28). 

This is the year that many have feared because the Mayan Calendar stops on Dec. 21, 2012.  We've received many fear messages and doom and gloom predictions on what that means.  My take on it is that spiritual infants always deal on the fear level because they lack the comprehension of the higher levels. This year is golden and we all have the opportunity to grow and evolve into Higher consciousness.  Yes, there will be "stuff" to deal with, but it's our reaction to what's happening that will make us or break us.  It is time to get serious about doing a daily spiritual practice.  To stay tuned to the Higher frequencies of Love, Peace, Harmony and Joy.  We all need to work on our inner selves so that the external world is a reflection of what we feeling deep inside.  We're being called to bump it up, to do what's right, and to move forward in a fearless way.  We must take care of our health and know that our physical bodies are responding to the thoughts, words and feelings we're projecting.  As the Hopi Elders have said "we are the leaders we've been looking for", they also say "take the word struggle out of your vocabulary and move towards the things that bring you joy".  That last one was my paraphrase, but you get the drift.  Come on people let's stay the course, stay on point and do the thing that we were sent here to do.  Peace and Abundant Blessings, Ayesha

ARRESTED FOR 2ND DEGREE MURDER

George Zimmerman is the Libra that killed Trayvon Martin on February 25, 2012.  He was finally arrested after millions took to the street to demand justice.  The following is a brief interpretation of George Zimmerman's Solar Chart (without time of birth). 

George Zimmerman was born when the Sun was in Libra, the sign of justice.  The symbol for Libra is the scales of justice. Libra is also ruled by Venus, planet of love and beauty, peace and harmony. So how could

"sweet" Libra turn into a cold blooded killer?  Well, there's a positive side and a negative side to every sign and from the looks of it, George was dealing on the negative side when stalked and then killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teenager on February 25th.  Negative Libra can believe they are the law, especially if the ego is off balance.  As the scales tip, Libra can move from the sweet loving personality and turn into a self righteous zealot who takes the law into their own hands. 

But we're more than our Sun Sign, and George Zimmerman's Moon (emotions) was moving from Virgo, the critic, to Libra the zealot, on the day he was born.  Regardless of whether his Moon was in Virgo or Libra it's clearly touching (aspecting) Neptune in late degrees of Sagittarius.  Moon squaring Neptune is the inability to discern between fact or fantasy.  This can be an addictive personality, a dreamer, a wannabee cop, who truly believes he's come to save the day.  It's interesting that police did not give Zimmerman a drug test after the murder, but decided to test the dead child.  Mercury is in Virgo right beside the Moon and this indicates that when the emotions are running high, clear thinking (Mercury) goes out the window.  Whether he's addicted to street drugs or pharmaceutical drugs, the Moon/Mercury square Neptune indicates that there's a serious allergy or addiction that will probably come to the forefront if there is a trial.

The other interesting thing about Zimmerman's planets is the Venus, his planetary ruler is in late degrees of Leo right next to Mars, planet of outgoing action, violence and guns.  This guy loves guns, carries one everywhere he goes and he has a hair trigger temper.  Venus/Mars is squaring Jupiter/Uranus in his chart. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and Uranus is the planet that attracts unpredictable situations.  This guy was a walking time bomb, with so many pent up emotions based on fears and prejudice that without serious psychological therapy he was bound to end up killing someone. 

But, he also has Saturn, planet of discipline and tests very close to Pluto, planet of transformation. Saturn is in the early degrees of Scorpio and Pluto is in the last degrees of Libra.  These two planets are forming a sextile aspect to Venus/Mars.  He has friends in high places who apparently pulled the strings to get him off the hook the night of the murder.  Both his father and his mother worked in the judicial system at one time. So obviously after killing Trayvon Martin, George must have thought he was home free, case closed, end of story.  What he didn't count on was the tenacity of Trayvon's parents who demanded that he be arrested and charged with the crime.  What he also didn't know (obviously) was that transiting Saturn was right on his Pluto when he killed Trayvon. 

George Zimmerman is going to have his first Saturn return this fall, when Saturn returns to it's place of birth. His impulsive tendency towards violence may come back to haunt him.  His need to be the hero in his community, his need to be loved and respected has brought him to this point...in jail, awaiting a bail hearing and having to depend on relatives to pay an expensive attorney.  His dream has turned into a nightmare. But it's not over yet, he still has the benefit of having killed a Black child in a racist system that hardly ever thoroughly prosecutes killers of Black children. 

I believe George Zimmerman will plead down to a lesser charge and receive either probation or maybe two years jail time.  We'll see. 

Mercury Direct on Wed./Full Moon on Friday

Mercury, planet of communications, speaking/writing, will go direct on Wednesday April 4th, in the sign of Pisces.  Mercury started off a retrograde movement on March 12th, when it was in Aries, but slid back into Pisces on March 23rd.  Then Mercury will go back into Aries again on the 17th. So if you've had the feeling of things repeating over and over again, from a cosmic perspective you're right.  In the case of Trayvon Martin, the teenager who was killed by George Zimmerman, the wannabee cop on Feb. 26th, it would seem the facts (Mercury) in the case are moving back and forth.  When Mercury was retrograde in Aries, the masses responded with demonstrations all over this country and in Europe.  The media was on fire with news, with some media people showing anger for the fact that this killer had not been arrested.  Then when Mercury slid back into Pisces, we heard from the family and friends of Zimmerman, trying to paint a picture of a benevolent, son, brother, friend who was afraid for his life so he had to kill this unarmed teenager.  The video showing Zimmerman about 30 minutes after the event, walking freely, no blood on his clothes, didn't look like a man who has just been in a life or death struggle.  And now we hear from Zimmerman's brother that he was just on his way to Target, and not on patrol as community watch captain.  So we're expected to
believe that Zimmerman was a victim?  "Don't believe your lieing eyes" comes to mind.  Even though it was clear that there were no life threatening injuries to Zimmerman, his brother in a calm and rehearsed manner said "the medical reports will prove that he had a broken nose and injuries to his head".  Oh yeah, refer us back to pieces of paper written by people who are apparently in on the scheme and again "don't believe your lieing eyes".  So this is what we have now, Mercury will go back into Aries on the 17th, and I believe that will bring more truth to light, and more people who will be out in the streets again.  In the meantime, we also have the waxing (getting bigger) Full Moon coming on Friday, the 6th.

FULL MOON IN LIBRA

It's so appropriate that Libra is in the picture now, because George Zimmerman, Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson are all Libras.  Libra is the sign of the scales of justice and many people born under this sign are concerned about justice and fairness.  Friday the 6th is also Good Friday, one of the most sacred holidays for Christian people.  This is the day that Jesus was crucified on the cross.  So does that mean that finally George Zimmerman will be arrested for killing Trayvon Martin?  One thing I do know is that Full Moons can pull out the best or the worst in people.  Either those who are dedicated to peace and justice will be elated because of a decision in the case, or they could be frustrated because it is taking too long. Certainly Libra people, those born with the Sun or other planets in Libra will have to check their emotions.  The positive use of the Full Moon in Libra is to channel the emotions into something meaningful, like just going out to the park and being in nature, or staying home, meditating, praying for a solution, or watching funny or romantic movies and temporarily taking your mind off what's bugging you.  While the killing of Trayvon might seem like an isolated incident, it's more than that.  Trayvon's death hit an emotional chord with people who have been fighting for justice for many moons. And even people who are just waking up to the fact of racial injustice in this country are getting a timely wake up call to the truth about what it means to be Black in America.  On the spiritual level this is a golden opportunity to go within and consult your inner voice of wisdom for the solution.  We don't want to err on the side of evil, and miss the chance to rise above the meanspirited and misquided people among us.  So regardless of what happens this week, lets stay resolved to know the truth and united in our quest for justice. 

FULL MOON IN LIBRA MEETS PLUTO IN CAPRICORN

This Full Moon will square (90 degree angle) Pluto, planet of transformation, which is in Capricorn now. When an aspect like this happens you could see the effects days in advance. Whenever a personal planet (Moon) meets up with a longer distance planet (Pluto), the effects can be on the personal and collective levels at the same time.  In other words, just by witnessing the many, many demonstrations in this country that were calling for justice, we know that there are many individuals committed to bringing out the truth. If there's no response from our justice system in the case of Trayvon, then thousands of people will be feeling overly emotional.  The same holds true if there is a decision this week that will appear that the people in charge are handling this situation with due dilligence and fairness.  Either way this transit heats up things and encourages manipulation and or unbridled force.  Pluto represents authority figures, and the Moon represents the masses.What I'm praying for is that everyone stay calm during this Full Moon period because impulsive moves or violence will only exacerbate the problem. One way to get your voice heard is by using your spending power. You have the power to spend your money in any way you think is necessary. And to the Christians among us, you don't have to wear new clothes in order to worship Jesus...I don't think I ever saw in the scriptures that Jesus won't hear your prayers unless you've bought a new dress from Macy's. I'm just saying...You are in the unique position to make this Easter a more meaningful celebration of the resurrection of the Christ. At the same time by refusing to spend money, you're sending  a meaningful message to the corporations, who protect the George Zimmermans among us, that we're no longer going to be mindless consumers, or spend money with the people who seek to keep the status quo.  The other thing you can do is to have letter writing parties designed to impact the politicians where you live.  While politicians do listen to phone calls, they also are more apt to respond to letters from the people they depend on for their livelihood. Have a safe and productive holiday, for Christians and Jews alike, because Passover begins on Saturday, March 7th.
