FULL MOON IN LEO - SAT. JAN. 26, 2013

AINT LIFE GRAND?

Depends on how you look at it...with the Full Moon in Leo, the sign that rules spiritual kings and queens, we can choose to tap into the royal energy of the sign or adopt an attitude of jealousy and envy for the people who've chosen to shine at this time.  The Full Moon in Leo energy started when our Leo president took his vows on Monday and in a grand way began the celebration for his 2nd term.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS...

Sensitive people feel the energy of the coming Full Moon, days in advance.  On January 21st, I put everything on the back burner and decided to watch the inauguration festivities, while periodically switching back to the  Australian Open Tennis Matches.  I was delighted to learn that Sloane Stephens, a 19 year old tennis player had beaten her opponent and moved on to the next round.  Sloane's mentor is Serena Williams who seems to be unbeatable these days.  Then it was time to switch back to Washington, DC to see the 1st family, the cute little girls, the beautiful queenlike wife and Barack Obama, looking confident and happy as he took his vows on two Bibles, among friends and enemies who were all on their best behavior.  This was history in the making and even though it was cold there were millions of people standing in the mall to see this event.  Just as I was fully into the viewing of the amazing event, the phone rang.  On the other end was a friend who is an Obama hater.  My friend went on to say why he hated Obama, why he didn't vote this time, and for a minute my energy started to sink into despair.  Then I decided not to get into an argument with this person, but I choose to brush it off.  In the Charlie Brown cartoon when the parents are talking it comes out in inaudible sounds, like wonk, wonk wonk wonk.  I lightened up and told my friend that all his words were not affecting me, that I loved Obama and I chose not to agree with him.

STAND IN YOUR TRUTH

Even though the man who called me was an intelligent, well read person, I sensed that he was frustrated and angry inside. I finally asked him why he incarnated at this time and what was his mission.  "Barack is doing his mission...what is yours?"  Those questions slowed down the rant and made my friend stop and think.  Wow!  I could have made an enemy on that day, but decided, in a loving way to guide a friend back to the truth.  What was also going on in my mind was the fact that I'm a Leo and the Full Moon in Leo was on it's way.  In the past this would have been a full scale argument with me probably cutting the person off, or making the decision never to speak to him again.

CONSCIOUSNESS IS EVERYTHING

Years ago when the Full Moon was in Leo, I would have an ego attack, get into some negativity with someone and find the need to apologize afterwards.  Actually there were times when I'd hate to see the Full Moon in Leo coming...then my consciousness changed and the realization came that it's all energy and I can choose how to use it.  I can be joyful, creative, loving, or I can ream someone who disagrees with me out, and kick them out of the kingdom (laughing).  When the Full Moon is in your sign, you are more sensitive than usual and in the blink of an eye you can become overly emotional and speak without thinking or act impulsively.

THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT LEOS

Leo is only one of 4 fixed signs.  Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius are also in the fixed sign club along with Leo.  These 4 signs have the reputation to be stubborn and unmoveable in consciousness.  They also are the ones who can fix their minds to accomplish a goal and get it done.  Enter, Leo, Barack Obama.  In spite of all the people and situations that may have held him back, in spite of all the declared enemies in Congress who (some of them) were there on Inauguration Day.  He happily took his vows, went to lunch, reviewed a parade and went to two balls, smiling and waving to the camera and people who supported him.  He could have chosen to focus on the negative, or engage in the he said, she said game...but no, like a true King, he rose above it and put aside the need to hit back.  Thank God, for this Leo, tall and handsome, with his tall and beautiful wife and children.  He is our king, our brother, our son and I'm thankful that he's chosen to be here at this time.  But as a true king, he has his detractors, those who will be envious and jealous of his fame.  Barack Obama makes me think about my mission in life and what I'm doing to accomplish my goals.  No matter what sign you were born under, this week and especially on Saturday, Jan. 26th, 2013 tap in to the royalty within and be the gracious king or queen that you were meant to be.  When we collectively decide to let our individual lights shine, the whole world is blessed.  Shine your Light and celebrate your life.

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN 1/11/13

The first new moon of 2013, New Moon in Capricorn happens on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. I like to think of it as the real start to the new year.  This is a good day to take a review and to see if you've taken the 1st steps towards fulfilling your New Year's resolutions.
I've resolved to work out more. To get back into full sway with my swimming  to eat better and to remember to show love to everyone I come in contact with.

PAINFUL REMINDERS

This morning while watching the memorial service for Miles Joseph, the guitarist for the Agape Band, I swept away tears as one of the speakers said the last time she saw Miles, he was holding out his arms to hug her, but she was rushing to do something else and said "I'll catch you later".  She was obviously in pain at the thought that maybe she should have stopped for what turned out to be the last hug.  I resolved right then and there to remember not to be in a rush when someone is trying to get my attention, and to always take out to share love and blessings with others, no matter what else I may be doing.  We never know when that last opportunity will come.  As I've attended many funerals in my life, it always seems that there is someone crying because they didn't take the time out to give a hug, or to express love.  The truth is now is the only time we have and being in the present moment is always a good practice.

USE THIS TIME WISELY

This New Moon is a great time to fully dedicate ourselves to the things we want to accomplish in the coming year.  When you write down your goals, pause for a minute and visualize them and "see" yourself being successful.  Invoke the joyful feelings that you'll have when your wishes are fulfilled.  Capricorn's symbol is the goat climbing up the mountain.  The mountain is symbolic of success.  Capricorn's keywords are "I Use" and the planetary ruler is Saturn, planet of discipline.  It is imperative that we tap into this powerful New Moon in Capricorn and vow to use our time wisely.  It is also a good thing to enjoy the process while we're focusing on the destination.  In the words of the Hopi Elders, this is the day to take the word "struggle" out of our vocabulary and to move effortlessly towards our goals.  If you're moving towards your mission, the thing you agreed to do before you came back to earth, then the journey will be joyful and full of passion.  We cannot receive our blessings when our jaws are tight and our fists are clenched.  We say open your mind, open your heart to receive your good, as there is nothing too good to be true, nothing too wonderful to happen.

THE LIGHT IS SHINING BRIGHTLY

We survived the dire predictions for 2012. The world didn't end and the Light is shining brightly.  Keep that Light around you and "see" it filling up your physical body.  Use the Light to dissolve any problems or perceived blocks to your success.
We're living at this time because we still have work to do.  We still have love to give and joy to experience.  Hopefully some of us have learned the wisdom of not believing the doom and gloom predictions given by a few people who lacked the understanding to know how things work.  New Moon in Capricorn is a great time to stand in your own truth and to tap into the wisdom that comes from within.
2013 is the year to practice what you've learned and to live a life on purpose.  Enjoy this time and give thanks for all your blessings...I love you all, Ayesha

MARS IN AQUARIUS

Mars the outgoing planet of action moved into Aquarius on December 26, 2012 and it will be there until  February 2, 2013.  This message is late because yours truly was off the grid until January 3, 2013.  However I was having an Aquarian experience, traveling to other countries on a ship that was full of people from all cultures, religions and economic status.  Having spent more than 30 years living in New York City, hearing other languages and communicating with people who hardly spoke english was an interesting experience, but not unusual.  It required patience, hand signals, and more patience just to get everyday stuff done.  It makes you humble to realize that what you thought was easy, wasn't easy at all...i.e. asking the waiter from eastern europe for water without ice required hand signals and a smile when he realized what you were saying, asking the maid in your cabin if she saw your flippers, or asking the man in food service for turkey bacon, rather than pork bacon, or asking the aid in the spa how to regulate the hot water...simple things, if their english was good, difficult if english was the second language, or third or fourth.  It seems that Americans are the only people on the planet who traditionally speak one language.  While the people we met who were serving us spoke many languages.  We witnessed other Americans being rude to people because they didn't "get it" on first try.  No wonder we have the ugly American reputation.  Its not helpful to yell at people just because they don't understand what you're saying, but it is helpful to slow it down, speak calmly and then smile when the non english speaking person indicates they understand.

THE MAYAN CONNECTION
Of all the accents and languages we encountered on our trip, I think it was more challenging to understand the people who spoke Mayan.  It was also challenging to pronouce the Mayan names of priests and goddesses, ummm, how do you say Ixl Chen and make the person know who you're talking about.  Ixl Chen is the Mayan Goddess of the Moon and she has jurisdiction over the weather, fertility and abundance.  We visited the ruins where she once lived and took pictures in front of the temple dedicated to her.  Our guide, Alexahandro, keep correcting me when I would try to say her name and it was difficult to understand his message about the Mayan Prophecies, allegedly calling for the end of the world.  What he made clear was that the Mayans never said the world would end on December 21, 2012. That our so-called "experts" got it wrong.  He did tell us what I had written before, that we've moved from the Kali Yuga, to the Satya Yuga, a new cycle that promises good things, a kinder gentler world to live in.  When Alex, which is what he asked us to call him, got started and spoke quickly, some of it was missed, so we resorted to watching his facial expressions to try to get a drift of what he was saying.  He was a kind person, very short in stature, but with a big and loving heart.

THE SPIRITUAL MESSAGE OF MARS IN AQUARIUS

The spiritual message of Mars in Aquarius is to be patient with people who don't speak your language and to understand that the world is made up of many different cultures, races and religions and we need to bypass the belief that we are better than other humans, as we are all connected.  We need to treat others the way we'd like to be treated no matter who they are, or what their position is in this world.  Basically, we all breathe the same air, drink the same water and want the same things, security, safety and love.  I love to travel, to see new things to experience different people. Traveling temporarily takes you out of your comfort zone. You sleep in a different bed and shower in a different bathroom, and eat food that you haven't tried before.  We realized that being served shrimp with the heads attached was at first weird, but then it was sooo delicious.  You have to keep an open mind and realize that everyday there's the potential to learn something new.  I talked to a man who said he had never seen or experienced snow before...say what?  As we were talking I realized that the snow was piling up on my car in the parking lot where I left it before the trip, and I wasn't looking forward to coming back to clean it up and slightly worried that after sitting in the cold for two weeks, that the car would start again.  It's all good. My car started at the first turn of the key in the ignition.  I was able to clean off all the snow and ice with the handy brush I left in the trunk.  This trip left me wondering why I was living in a place where snow storms and ice were normal during this time of year.  But I was glad to sleep in my bed again and to shower in my shower again.  I love to travel and am thankful for the gift of the trip from my daughters who paid for it.  Was off the grid for a while, no internet service, no wi-fi available but know that you all were in my heart and prayers.  It's good to be home.  Love & Light, Ayesha
