PLANT SEEDS OF JOY

December 13, 2012, the New Moon (Sun & Moon) will be in Sagittarius, the mutable Fire Sign that says "I Perceive", or "yes I can".  Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter, the Great Expander.  The Sagittarius energy is connected to joy, gratitude,and a vibrance that attracts "good luck" to the individual.  Actually there is no such thing as "luck". The reason why it may seem that Sagittarians are "lucky" is because they are naturally generous and giving.  They seem to be  born with the knowledge of the cosmic law of giving and receiving.  Sagittarius is the sign that says "tell the truth and shame the devil".  People born under this sign should learn the power of the spoken word and that their words can hurt others.  We say to Sagittarius people, to put their brain in gear before they open their mouths (smile).  Yet if you want an honest opinion with no holds barred...ask a Sagittarian.  My favorite Sagittarius person is the late Judge Bruce Wright, who almost was removed from the bench for speaking his mind to a policeman.  What he was saying was correct from a legal point of view, but it was deemed politically incorrect (sigh).  New York Newspapers called Judge Wright "Cut em loose Bruce", because of his policy to give bail to people that he thought deserved it.  He explained that bail is not a punishment, but a guarantee that the defendant will appear in court.  I loved this man's fierce dedication to truth and justice.

SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER

This is a good time to stand for what you believe and to speak truth to power.  As many of you know, the Central Park 5, the boys, now men who were prosecuted and convicted for the rape of a jogger in Central Park, who served time and then were found not guilty (convictions set aside), are suing the City and Prosecutors for economic compensation for their pain and suffering.  Thankfully Ken Burns (filmmaker) has produced and directed a film about the Central Park 5,  which is showing in selected theaters now.  Usually the showing of the film is accompanied by a Q & A session with Ken and some of the young men involved in the case.  My heart goes out to all of them, and especially Yusef Salaam (my godson) and Raymond Santana who speak on the case and share how it literally destroyed their young lives.  Even though Matias Reyes confessed that he did the rape, and even though his DNA matched the evidence in the case, there has been no apology for the wrongful conviction nor an offer for compensation.

It's time to keep the pressure on for truth and justice.  Check out the movie about the Central Park 5 and share this petition with others.  We've been fighting this fight since the beginning.  In spite of the humungus bad press, the time has finally come for the boys, now men to be compensated.  Their lives were totally disrupted, their reputations destroyed, their educations were interrupted all based on the lies of corrupt prosecutors who were not concerned with truth, but only concerned with getting a conviction to help their careers.  Their is power in the collective, together we can create a pressure that will make these evildoers, do the right thing.  One way to make your personal abundance flow, is by helping someone else make their abundance flow...what we do for others, comes back to us, tenfold, a hundredfold.
